Security Officer
Durham, 40+ Hours per week, £11.55 per hour
Job description
Vistech Services are seeking a permanent Security Officer to work at a public library in DURHAM.
DAYS ONLY, average 30 Hours per week, 2 week rolling rota pattern.
Week 1: Monday to Wednesday
Week 2: Thursday to Saturday
Closed on Sunday
Shifts are Monday – Friday 08:30 – 19:00 and Saturday 09:00 – 17:00
Excellent pay rate above National Living Wage £11.55 per hour.
Contracted to 30 hours per week. Overtime available.
Key responsibilities
– Be able to support the staff on site.
– Be vigilant, always, to ensure security and protection of the Customer’s site.
– Patrolling the library whilst remaining alert at all times.
– Deal with any incidents in a timely and professional manner and report accordingly.

– Confident when dealing with people and outgoing
– Confident in dealing with incidents, in a calm manner, following procedures in place
– Fluent in English
– Good verbal and written communication skills
– Follow assignment instructions to ensure protection of site

Person Specification
Must have an SIA Security Officer or Door Supervisor Licence
Driver with their own vehicle or ability to get to site location for an early start.
Able to start asap
