Security Officer – Meadowfield County Durham
Job description
Vistech Services are seeking a permanent Security Officer to work on a Council Depot in Meadowfield, Durham.
12 Hour shifts, Days, Nights and Weekends. 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Pay rate £10.52 per hour.
Contracted to 42 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
~ Be able to commit to the rota pattern.
~ Be vigilant, always, to ensure security and protection of the Customer’s site.
~ Manning of the gatehouse.
~ Patrolling of the site
~ CCTV Monitoring
~ Protection of Council property
~ Checking documents and liaising with council staff.
~ Deal with any incidents in a timely and professional manner.
~ Report any incidents that occur clearly and in a timely manner.
~ Respond to and relay telephone calls

• Confident in dealing with incidents, in a calm manner, following procedures in place.
• IT Literate
• Fluent in English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Follow assignment instructions to ensure protection of site.
Person Specification
• Must have an SIA Licence.
• Driver with their own vehicle or ability to get to site location for an early start.
• Must have Emergency First Aid At Work and Defib qualification OR be willing to undertake the course in house.
