CCTV Controller – Middlesbrough

Vistech are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security CCTV Controller. This role involves overseeing surveillance systems to detect and prevent unauthorised activities. The ideal candidate will possess keen observational skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to respond swiftly to incidents. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a secure environment within a professional setting.

Responsibilities and duties

– Constantly monitor CCTV footage across multiple screens to identify suspicious or unusual activity
– Record and document security incidents accurately for future reference
– Conduct regular checks on surveillance equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Respond promptly to alarms or alerts, assessing situations and escalating as necessary
– Assist with loss prevention by observing and deterring theft or vandalism
– Provide first aid assistance when required, following established protocols
– Maintain detailed logs of daily surveillance activities and incidents
– Collaborate with security team members and other staff to uphold safety standards

Experience

– Prior experience in surveillance, security operations, or loss prevention is advantageous; training will be provided
– Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring software
– Basic knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial
– Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to respond calmly under pressure.
– A responsible attitude with a high level of integrity and confidentiality

Qualifications and skill:

– You must hold a valid SIA CCTV & Front Line Licence
– You must be willing to work Monday – Sunday days and nights

Employment details:

– Contracted average 42 hours per week
– £15 an hour
– Middlesbrough, TS1
