Security Officer Hospital Setting – Norwich
Vistech Services are a well-established NSI Gold, SIA Approved contractor offering quality security services across the UK.
We are currently seeking an SIA Licenced (DS) Security Officer to join us at one of our contracted sites in the Norwich area delivering high quality security services to our client.
As a Security Officer situated in the healthcare department, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for visitors and staff by patrolling, protecting, diffusing and de-escalating difficult situations as they arise. Working responsibly to maintain high standards. Average 40 hours per week with overtime.
Pay rate
Excellent rate of pay, £12.50 per hour
Hours of Work
Shifts will be on an ad hoc basis including days, nights and include most weekends. Shifts are 12 hours.
General Duties:
Site Patrols of the entrance and grounds maintaining a visible presence
Observation of vulnerable and aggressive patients
Prepared to go into unknown or unpredictable situations, responding and dealing with any situations as they arise
Liaise and communicate with staff and perform duties and requests as required
Dealing with any incidents on site and writing reports
Complete logs by recording observations, information, occurrences.
Role Requirements:
Must have a valid SIA licence (DS or CP) or at Checks in Process stage in their SIA application
Due to the nature of the site, previous door experience or experience in dealing with aggressive and vulnerable individuals would be preferable
Resilient in dealing with other people’s challenging behaviours
Must be able to deal with emergency situations calmly and effectively
Be confident, calm and reassuring
Good written and verbal communication skills
Smart appearance
You must be able to provide a minimum of 5 years checkable work or back to school history to pass security vetting and screening requirements
You must have a clear Basic or Enhanced DBS check (you receive basic DBS with your SIA Licence)
